    Juried Art - Museum of Science and Industry     

    Since 1970, the Museum of Science and Industry (MSI) has hosted the Juried Art Exhibition, the nation’s longest-running exhibition of African-American art. November 10, 2017 – Submission deadline 

    Works created in any medium are eligible, including: 

    Architecture + Design • Ceramics • Digital Art • Drawing • Mixed Media • Painting • Photography + Video • Print Media • Sculpture • Textiles

    Hebru Brantley: Forced Field | Elmhurst Art Museum  

    September 9 through January 7, 2018 

    The Elmhurst Art Museum is excited to announce a solo show of new work by the Chicago artist Hebru Brantley - A native of the city’s Bronzeville neighborhood.

    The next session for the Argonne ACT-SO High School Research Program’s (ARP) is Saturday, November 4, 8:30 AM at Argonne National Laboratory located at 9700 South Cass Avenue. All students should have contacted their assigned mentors by now. Students should be conducting background research and working towards developing their hypothesis.

    Visual Arts students will meet at the Elmhurst Art Museum for an afternoon of artistic and educational fun. We will meet at 1:00 pm at the museum and participate in the optional Chalk-Graffiti activity. Students should bring their sketch book and pencils.

    The museum is one block south of the Elmhurst Metra in downtown Elmhurst (York Road).

    Join us for a fun family art activity and make your mark with chalk stenciling inspired by Hebru Brantley: Forced Field.

    DuPage ACT-SO students continued a winning tradition at the 39th Annual NAACP National Competition. Our students led the nation by earning gold and silver in STEM categories Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth and Space Sciences and Physics. Silver and Bronze medals were awarded in Music Composition and Engineering respectively. Congratulations to all of our 2017 National medalists.
